You Have A Home Air Purification System But You Neglected Everything Else!
by: Michael Ochoa
Home air purification systems are being purchased by the millions. Many adults both with and without children are realizing that the one thing they can control in their home is the air they breath. Many have done their diligent studies or took it on recommendation that the air outside is harmful, but the air inside(up to 70 times more toxic)can be made cleaner by purchasing and installing some sort of unit that will help clean the air.
And a good choice it was. Several units will filter out the dust, the dander from their pets, and some other particulate that is unseen. Some units can even filter out some of the toxins that float around us while we are in our home. And they work too.
But did you know that these airborne toxins, once on the skin, can actually cause as much harm to you, your children and your pets, as it does to inhale them? Most...

How Often Should I Change My Vacuum Bag?
How Often Should I Change My Vacuum Bag?
by: Kevin Haynes
We're often asked: How often should I change my vacuum cleaner bag?
The answer - there is no set answer. But there are some easy guidelines to follow.
First, understand that vacuum cleaners work by moving air through the machine, and that movement is air is what picks up the dirt. When that air movement is restricted - such as from a nearly full vacuum bag - your performance suffers greatly.
As a rule of thumb, plan on changing the vacuum bag once a month. However, you may need to change it sooner if one of the following conditions exist in your home:
(1) Your home is over 2000 Square foot and has lots of wall to wall carpet.
(2) You have installed new carpeting, which will 'shed' for many months.
(3) You have pets such as cats or dogs, which will 'shed' forever.
Open the compartment and check the bag the next few times you vacuum - when it's 50 to 60...

Six Carpet Care Tips
by: Steve Gillman
Which is the most important of my carpet care tips? You'll find it at the top of the list below. Use the five other tips as well, and you'll get years more use from your carpet.
Top Carpet Care Tips
1. Keep your carpet clean. Sand and dirt act like thousands of little razor blades that cut carpet fibers. Damaged carpet stains more easily, and it's harder to remove the stains from it as well. Vacuum often to remove dirt, and your carpet will last longer.
2. Use rugs. Put rugs outside and inside the front door, and any other entrances. They can catch much of the dirt that people bring in on their feet. That means less vacuuming and longer carpet life.
3. Remove shoes. This is a sure way to make carpet last longer. If you have a nice home with nice carpet, people usually aren't offended by this policy.
4. Clean stains quickly and properly. If using a cleaning solvent other than water,...

Throughout my life, I've been fortunate enough to be the beneficiary of the generosity and thoughtfulness of my family and friends.
